Deleting your data

Last updated 27 July 2026.

Adless has no login, no profile and no account you can be identified by. Everything is on your device unless you turned on backup, and both are deleted from inside the app.

Everything on the device

Settings - Clear all data deletes your playlists, channels, films and series, favourites, custom groups, watch history and positions, downloaded guide data, the saved provider usernames and passwords, and every setting including the parental PIN. Uninstalling the app does the same. Neither affects your subscription.

The encrypted backup, if you turned it on

Settings - Sync and backup - Delete backup erases the stored copy from the server, including the account row derived from your recovery code. Nothing recoverable is left behind: what was stored was encrypted with a key that only exists on your devices, so it was never readable here in the first place.

Turn off backup is the other option and does something different: it forgets the recovery code on this device and leaves the stored copy alone, so another device can still restore from it. Use Delete when you want it gone.

Problem reports

A report is sent only if you pressed Send, and it carries no name, address or device identifier, so there is no way to look up "your" reports. Every report is deleted automatically 90 days after it arrives. To have one removed sooner, email the reference code the app showed you to [email protected] and it will be deleted by that code.

Your subscription

Billing is Google Play's, not ours. Cancel from Play - Subscriptions, or from the Manage subscription link in the app. Deleting app data does not cancel a subscription, and cancelling does not delete app data.
